Commercial Roofing Types
Depending upon the age, location, size, and functional needs of your building, you may have a range of commercial roofing options to choose from. In addition, your budget, maintenance fees, insurance costs, and energy bills are all also factors in selecting the right commercial roofing option. Our dedicated team has decades of experience to guide you in choosing the best commercial roofing for your needs and budget. We work with:
- Shingle Roofing
- Tile Roofing
- Flat Roofing
- Single-Ply Roofing
- Modified Bitumen Roofing
- Commercial Tile Roofing
- Asphalt Shingle Roofing
- TPO Roofing
- Cool Roof Solutions
- Torch Down Systems
- Wood Replacement and Repairs
Single-ply roofing is one of the simplest systems to install. This is a popular option for commercial roofing clients looking for an affordable, flexible, and highly reflective material. Single-ply roofing materials are designed to be glued or fastened in one even layer across the surface and come in a variety of colors and finishes. Typically, single ply roofing systems are either “thermoset” or “thermoplastic.”
Thermoset roofs are made with rubber-like polymers and are best for large areas since the material can be purchased in large sheets which minimize seams on the roof surface. Thermoset membranes with black carbon help add UV protection, while membranes with titanium dioxide help to reflect UV rays off the surface.
Thermoplastic commercial roofing material is applied with a hot-air welding technique. These plastic-based materials often include polyester or resin, which add strength to the roof structure. Both thermoset and thermoplastic systems are easy and affordable to install, but they cannot be used in conjunction.
Another great commercial roofing material is liquid-applied membranes. There is a range of choices available, depending on the size of your structure and the weather in your region. Liquid-applied roofing is easy to install and offers great waterproofing qualities. It’s also a good option for confined or awkward roofing spaces, as the liquid can be easily applied to hard-to-access areas.
Modified Bitumen Roofing
Many of our clients request modified bitumen for their commercial roofing projects. There are several different bitumen systems available on the market, and many of them deliver high durability and water resistance. The material can be reinforced with fiberglass or polyester, helping to improve the strength of the surface. There are generally two types of bitumen roofing: SBS and APP. SBS (Styrene-butadiene-styrene) is great for promoting flexibility, while APP (atactic polypropylene) is good for long-term durability. Christian Roofing regularly works with bitumen roofing systems and can install these materials with torching, asphalt, or adhesives.
Commercial Roofing Safety
One of the most important elements of maintaining your commercial property is working with a team that uses the safest operating standards possible. Christian Roofing trains each of its employees on safe operating practices and abides by all relevant OSHA guidelines. We take pride in our projects and take care to create a safe and clean working environment for our staff and customers. Our team considers things like workplace safety, local permit laws, and the correct disposal of waste material for every job.
Energy Efficient Commercial Roofing
An increasing number of property owners are realizing the positive impact that solar power can have on their bottom line. And these days, the cost of installing solar power is more affordable than ever. At Christian Roofing, we work with all different types of property owners to install and maintain solar power as part of our commercial roofing services. Contact us to see if solar energy is a good option for you.
